These Terms & Conditions govern the purchase, use and membership of the Blue Sky Social Care Card. By applying for, purchasing or using a Blue Sky Social Care Card, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
- About the Blue Sky Social Care Card
The Blue Sky Social Care Card is an identification and membership card designed to recognise and support people working in, or connected to, the social care sector. Members can access discounts, offers and other benefits with participating businesses, both online and in-store.
All offers are provided by independent third-party businesses. Blue Sky Social Care Card does not own, operate or control these businesses and accepts no responsibility for the products, services or transactions they provide. All offers remain entirely at the discretion of the participating business.
- Eligibility
Membership is available to individuals who meet the eligibility criteria determined by Blue Sky Social Care Card. Eligible groups include, but are not limited to:
- Paid Carers, Support Workers and Personal Assistants
- Care Agency Workers
- Care Home Workers
- Self-Employed Carers and Personal Assistants
- Care Home and Care Agency Employers
- Social Workers and other Social Care Professionals
- Unpaid Carers and Volunteers
- User Led Organisation (ULO) staff and volunteers
- Direct Payment and Personal Budget Employers
- Access to Work Employees and Employers
- Individuals receiving Direct Payments, Personal Health Budgets or Independent Living Fund support
- Foster Carers
- Housing Association staff
- Voluntary and Community Sector workers
- Individuals or organisations providing services that directly support the social care sector
Blue Sky Social Care Card reserves the right to determine eligibility and may request evidence before approving an application or renewing a membership.
- Membership Fees
Membership is currently available at:
- £5.00 for a one-year membership
- £15.00 for a three-year membership
Additional membership options or promotional offers may be introduced from time to time and will be published on our website.
Membership fees are non-transferable and non-refundable except where stated within these Terms & Conditions or required by law.
- Applications and Verification
Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all information provided is accurate and up to date.
We may request supporting documentation to verify eligibility before approving an application or renewal.
Documents should be submitted electronically wherever possible. If sending documents by post, please send photocopies only. Blue Sky Social Care Card cannot accept responsibility for original documents sent through the post.
Failure to provide sufficient evidence may result in delays or your application being declined.
- Delivery
Cards will normally be posted to the address supplied during the application process unless an alternative delivery address is provided before dispatch.
Cards are dispatched using Royal Mail.
Blue Sky Social Care Card cannot accept responsibility for delays, losses or damage caused by postal or courier services once items have been dispatched.
- Refunds
If we are unable to verify your eligibility before your card has been produced, you may withdraw your application and receive a full refund.
Once a personalised card has been printed or dispatched, only a partial refund may be available to reflect production costs, as personalised products cannot be resold.
Nothing within these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
- Lost, Stolen or Damaged Cards
Members are responsible for keeping their card safe and secure.
If your card is lost or stolen, please notify us as soon as possible.
Replacement cards are available for £5.00, plus any applicable postage charges.
If your card arrives damaged, we will replace it free of charge, provided you notify us within 7 days of receiving it.
If your card contains incorrect information, we will investigate the cause. If the error occurred during production by Blue Sky Social Care Card, a replacement will be issued free of charge. If incorrect information was supplied during the application process, a £3.00 reprint charge will apply.
- Member Responsibilities
Members agree to:
- Keep their personal details up to date.
- Notify us promptly of any changes to their contact information or eligibility.
- Use the card only in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
- Not lend, share, transfer or allow another person to use their card.
Blue Sky Social Care Card reserves the right to request identification or supporting evidence where misuse is suspected.
- Discounts and Offers
Discounts and offers are provided solely by participating businesses.
Participating businesses may amend, suspend or withdraw offers at any time without prior notice.
Acceptance of any discount is entirely at the discretion of the participating business and, for in-store offers, may also be subject to the discretion of the individual store or venue manager.
If a discount is not honoured:
- Please speak to the business in the first instance.
- If the issue remains unresolved, please contact Blue Sky Social Care Card so we can investigate.
Should you choose to complete a purchase without receiving the advertised discount, any refund or goodwill gesture remains entirely at the discretion of the participating business.
Blue Sky Social Care Card cannot guarantee that every listed offer will always be available.
- Suspension or Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership immediately where we reasonably believe:
- false or misleading information has been provided;
- eligibility requirements are no longer met;
- the card has been shared or transferred to another person;
- fraudulent or inappropriate use has occurred; or
- these Terms & Conditions have been breached.
Where appropriate, membership fees may not be refunded.
- Limitation of Liability
Blue Sky Social Care Card accepts no responsibility for:
- offers withdrawn or amended by participating businesses;
- refusal of discounts by participating businesses;
- products or services supplied by third parties;
- postal delays or losses outside our reasonable control;
- technical issues affecting third-party websites; or
- any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the card.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such liability cannot legally be excluded under UK law.
- Employer Support
Eligible employers may receive complimentary general HR guidance through Blue Sky Social Care Card.
This guidance is provided for general information only and should not be considered legal advice. Additional charges may apply where ongoing support, casework or specialist advice is required.
- Data Protection
Blue Sky Social Care Card processes personal information in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.

Any refund request received after card production will be considered on an individual basis.
This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
6. Incorrect Information Provided

If incorrect information is supplied and a replacement card is required, a £3.00 reprint charge may apply.
Where the error has been made by Blue Sky Social Care Card, we will replace the card free of charge.

Discounts and offers are provided by independent third-party businesses and may be amended, withdrawn or declined at the discretion of the participating business.
Blue Sky Social Care Card cannot provide refunds based on:

- A business choosing not to honour an offer.
- A member not using available benefits.
10. Processing Refunds
Where a refund has been approved, it will be processed using the original payment method wherever possible.
